Alex Lehmann

Treasurer

Alex advises and assists individuals and privately held businesses with tax planning and compliance. His industry experience spans commercial and residential construction, restaurants, retail, technology, light manufacturing, and government contracting. He joined MPC in 2005 and brings more than twenty years of experience in public accounting, along with over a decade in commercial banking.

Alex is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is currently serving a four-year term on the AICPA Council, the 

governing body that helps shape the future of the profession. He is also actively involved with the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA), where he serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors as the Association’s incoming Chair. He has twice chaired the Symposium Committee and contributes to the Innovation and Emerging Technologies Resource Group, as well as several tax and advocacy groups within the Association.

In addition to his professional commitments, Alex serves as Treasurer for Theatre Raleigh and has previously held leadership roles as Treasurer for The Green Chair Project and as Treasurer and Chairman of Visual Art Exchange. He was a member of the Cultural Leaders focus group for the City of Raleigh Arts Plan and has lectured on accounting and tax topics for organizations such as Triangle ArtWorks and the Orange County Arts Council. For more than 20 years, he has also been a returning guest speaker at Meredith College and various local conferences.

 

Born in Italy and raised in South Florida, Alex has family roots in Raleigh dating back to the 1960s. He earned both his undergraduate degree in Finance and his Master of Business Administration from Florida International University. He, his wife, and their youngest daughter live in North Raleigh, where they attend St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. His oldest daughter is a freshman at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, studying accounting.
